Buttercream Frosting Recipe

Hey guys! I wanted to share my favorite frosting recipe with you. It is perfect for decorating cakes and cupcakes! So here it is:
2 1/2 cups of powdered/confectioner's sugar
1 1/4 sticks of butter
vanilla extract
milk

1. Mix butter in an electric mixer on a high speed for about five minutes or until it is creamy.
2. Add in powdered/confectioner's sugar a little bit at a time until you've mixed in about 2 cups. Remember not to mix it at too high a speed or it will make a mess!
3. Add some vanilla. Add however much you want. It is just for taste.
4. Start adding milk and the rest of the powdered sugar until it is the right thickness.
5. Test the thickness. Get a medium sized spoonful and try to shake the frosting off the spoon. It shouldn't come off the spoon too easily, but it should come off with a few hard shakes.

The recipe can doubled or halved as long ALL ingredients are adjusted. If you adjust the recipe also adjust the amount of powdered/confectioner's sugar you use in step 2.

So that's my favorite recipe for frosting. Making it is a piece of cake!
